Easier Backup runs on a Microsoft Windows computer on your premises. It is not SaaS. It is not a Cloud based application. It runs in your office and backs up to any location. A small local disc drive, a larger NAS drive or a Corporate disk store. It will even backup to a networked Cloud location if that is what you require. You simply select a suitable storage location.
Easier Backup is a Microsoft Windows application and will run on any Windows system from Windows 7 or greater. It will also run on the Windows Server 2008 or newer.
Easier Backup will backup SharePoint or Office 365 for Business. It will backup Document Libraries or Team Sites from virtually every SharePoint version Microsoft has produced over the last 10 years.
In-House or cloud based. SharePoint 2007, SharePoint 2010, SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint 2016.
Office 365 for Business, OneDrive (i.e. the Personal Space as part of OneDrive for business), Office 365 SharePoint Team sites etc.
You can change this in Options but obviously not in the middle of a backup.
If you’ve already started using Easier backup and want to change the location from now on just click on options and then click on Browse against the backup Location Option. Select your new location but if you have a large file backup already in the initial location, please allow Easier Backup enough time to move your files across to the new location before you carry on running a fresh backup or changing any other options.
In contrast to Easier365, you can use a Windows FAT formatted drive. That’s what SD cards or some USB thumb drives use.
