Any files added or updated in the local folder are simply uploaded and appear in SharePoint. – All automatically.

And that doesn’t mean just a few files. You can drag complete folder and file structures into the window and sit back while Revelation loads them up into SharePoint for you.

But easy to use shouldn’t mean compromising on features. The same Revelation ‘09 application comes with a browser based interface. Run locally off-line using any browser. Even run from within Outlook. You don’t need to be connected. The Revelation ‘09 application serves up the pages for you and gives you a ‘SharePoint like’ user interface with all your SharePoint files – all the time.

As well as giving you instant access to your data files. You can set the user preferences in the same easy web interface. Revelation 2007 has full file conflict handling built-in.You’ll never lose data using Revelation. It even has a built-in local ‘Trash’ capability. Delete a file from Revelation’s local interface and then change your mind. No problem.

Versioning – How does it work?Versioning is a great feature in SharePoint, but when you have a large number of users, it takes up a heck of a lot of disc space. By using Revelation ’09, the overhead of keeping different versions is managed automatically by Revelation.

Every time Revelation uploads or downloads a file it automatically versions the overwritten copy of the document.

Simply clicking on TimeStore will take you to a screen to browse previous versions.

We call this intelligent versioning. Why? Because your users only version the files on sites in which they are interested. It takes a few megabytes to keep the versions, saving you gigabytes or terabytes of storage centrally. Old versions of documents can be archived or deleted. Revelation even lets you browse old document archives.
