Revelation Concepts

Revelation is a complete client interface to SharePoint and handles user interaction with the SharePoint Lists as well as offline document management.

There are three ways of viewing your documents.

In the SharePoint Interface. (Figure 1)
In the Revelation Interface (Figure 2)
In the Windows Explorer Interface (Figure 3)

All show the same files and you can work with all three interchangeably, except, the SharePoint Interface is only available on-line whereas the Revelation Interface as shown by figures 2 and 3 can work off line with no network connection.

All three are kept in sync by Revelation so it doesn’t matter where you make a change. That means you can choose where you want to work, e.g. using standard drag & drop file management in Windows, and the files on SharePoint will be managed automatically. The Revelation application interface is however, the correct location from which to manage Revelation.

Synchronised Lists are always viewed through the Revelation Interface. (see Choosing Lists to Sync)
