File pull-down options

There are several file specific features available within the user interface. Right click on a file. You will see a range of options available on the pull down.


Open local copy will open the cached file using whatever is the native application for that file.  

Open local folder will open up the Windows Explorer folder that contains the file you are looking at.

Local versions will only be visible if you have downloaded a file and updated your local file.  Local Versions will take you to the previous version of your document.

Edit  Local Properties will allow you to change or add properties for those fields which can be changed while you are offline.

Edit Online Properties will connect to those fields which must be updated while on-line.

Open site copy opens the same file but from the SharePoint site.

Open site opens the SharePoint page that contains the file you are looking at.

Copy address puts the SharePoint URL for that file in the clipboard. Useful, for example, if you are wanting to send a link to the file in an email to somebody.

Check Out  (Check In)   will allow you to check a file out (in) if you are on-line.

Delete file will delete the local cached version of the file. Depending on what settings you have chosen, it will either ignore or delete the SharePoint copy as well.
